St. Paul Saints, American Association, AAA
1952: .312 avg, 77 games, 125 at-bats
Manager: Clay Bryant. Teammates included Geno Cimoli, Sandy Amoros, Bill Sharman, Jack Cassini (team was a Dodgers affiliate)
Played at old Lexington Park at University and Lexington in St. Paul; the clubhouse was very small and under the right field stands, says Twig, were "rats as big as rabbits"
Twig's .312 batting average was his career high; after the season the Dodgers sold his contract to Washington.
Forward to Washington Senators (1953)
