Twig as Manager

Twig managed the Ft. Worth Cats to three winning seasons, two divisional playoffs, and the 2005 Central League championship. He was named 2005 Central League Manager of the Year. Previously, he managed 11 minor league clubs between 1961 and 1980.

Ft. Worth is independent; Greensboro was affiliated with the Yankees and Columbus with the Houston Astros; the rest of the teams were part of the Senators/Rangers system. He has 1,224 wins and 1,089 losses for a .529 winning percentage.
