1950: .242 avg, 133 games, 480 at-bats

Hit 10 home runs

Manager (all three seasons): Frankie Frisch. Teammates included Phil Cavarretta, Andy Pafko, Johnny Schmitz, Bob Rush, Smoky Burgess, Mickey Owen, Roy Smalley


1951: .214 avg, 50 games, 192 at-bats

Became friends with future actor Chuck Connors at spring training

Traded to Brooklyn June 15 with outfielder Andy Pafko, pitcher Johnny Schmitz and catcher Rube Walker for catcher Ernie Edwards, pitcher Joe Hatten, outfielder Gene Hermanski and infielder Eddie Miksis
